Most people asking what carpet fitting costs are really asking something else: will the price I am quoted be the price I pay? So here is the honest answer in full.
Fitting is included free on any carpet over £20 per square metre. That covers the large majority of what we sell, across all four showrooms, and it is not a promotion with an end date — it is simply how we price.
We also run ranges where fitting, underlay, gripper and door bars are all included in the price of the carpet. One figure per square metre, nothing added at the end. Ask in any showroom which ranges are on that basis at the moment, because the selection changes.
Below the £20 threshold, fitting is charged. You will see the figure on your quote before you commit to anything.

On furniture we work it out with you rather than handing you a list of conditions. Most things we will move if it is possible to move them. If something is heavy, fragile or awkward, mention it at the measure and we will plan around it.
Our fitting teams are employed by Carpet Style rather than booked in job by job, which is why we can tell you in advance how the job will run and why the same people come back if anything needs attention.
From order to fitted is typically two to three weeks. If you need it quicker we can usually accommodate it — tell us the date you are working to and we will give you a straight answer rather than a hopeful one. We fit on Saturdays where that is what suits you.
Two straight answers on the things we are asked most:
We will not fit flooring you bought somewhere else. If we have not supplied it we cannot stand behind the finished job, and we are not willing to take responsibility for a product we have never seen until it arrives at your door. We do not fit on a trade basis or for other retailers either.
We will supply without fitting. If you have your own fitter, or you are laying it yourself, you can buy from us and take it away.
If you are having LVT or laminate rather than carpet, the subfloor matters a good deal more and is priced differently. We have written that up in full on our subfloor preparation page.
Is fitting included in the price?
On carpets over £20 per square metre, yes — fitting is free. We also have ranges that include fitting, underlay, gripper and door bars in the square metre price. Below that threshold fitting is charged, and the figure is on your quote before you commit to anything.
Will you move my furniture?
Yes, and we put it back. We work it out with you at the measure — most things we will move if it is possible to move them. Flag anything heavy, fragile or awkward in advance and we will plan around it.
Do you take the old carpet away?
Yes. Lifting and disposing of your old flooring is part of the job, along with taking away the offcuts and packaging when we leave.
What if the doors catch on the new carpet?
We ease them. We have our own joiner rather than leaving a fitter to improvise with whatever is in the van.
How long does it take from order to fitting?
Two to three weeks is typical. If you need it sooner we can usually accommodate it — tell us your date and we will give you a straight answer. We also fit on Saturdays where that suits you better.
Will you fit a carpet I bought elsewhere?
No. If we have not supplied the flooring we cannot stand behind the finished job. We are happy to supply without fitting if you have your own fitter, but we will not fit somebody else’s product.
Do your own fitters do the work, or subcontractors?
Our fitting teams are employed by Carpet Style. The same people who measured and fitted your floor are the ones who come back if anything needs attention afterwards.
