Office Flooring Contractors

Carpet Style Interiors Ltd supplies and fits office flooring across Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire and Leicestershire — working directly with office occupiers, facilities teams, and their fit-out partners. Whether you're refurbishing a single floor, fitting out a new office, or rolling out a flooring refresh across multiple sites, we offer expert specification, competitive contract pricing, and clean, scheduled installation that works around your team. We hold trade accounts with all the leading office flooring manufacturers — Burmatex, Heuga, Modulyss and Interface — so we can specify the right product for your environment, budget and design intent.

Office flooring solutions that work

Office environments demand more from flooring than most spaces — heavy chair-castor wear, regular stains, acoustic considerations, accessibility requirements, and design expectations that need to live up to the brand. The product specification matters enormously.

The products we most commonly specify and fit for office spaces include:

  • Burmatex carpet tiles — UK-manufactured, hard-wearing contract carpet tile in a huge range of colours and textures. Our most-specified office product.
  • Heuga carpet tiles — well-known mid-market range with excellent value and proven durability for general office areas.
  • Modulyss carpet tiles — design-led ranges for boardrooms, breakout spaces and brand-led environments where appearance matters as much as performance.
  • Interface carpet tiles — premium sustainable flooring with strong environmental credentials and design innovation, ideal for ESG-focused organisations.
  • LVT and SPC flooring — Karndean Designflooring, Polyflor and Amtico ranges for kitchens, breakout areas and high-end reception spaces.

We can mix and match across an office floorplate — premium product in front-of-house and meeting spaces, value-engineered product in back-office areas — to balance design impact with budget reality.

Dedicated Office Account Management

Office flooring projects rarely happen in isolation — they sit alongside furniture, partitions, M&E, decorating, and the constraints of staff occupation. You need a flooring partner who understands programme, who can phase work around live working, and who can take direction from project managers, designers, or your facilities team.

Every commercial customer is assigned a dedicated account manager who attends survey visits, agrees specification with stakeholders, manages programming alongside other trades, and remains your single point of contact through to handover. Whether you’re managing the project yourself or working through a fit-out partner, we’ll integrate with your team’s preferred way of working.

Competitive Contract Pricing

As members of the Carpet 1st buying group and the Carpet Foundation — the consumer code-backed body that recognises trusted, ethical UK flooring retailers and contractors — our pricing on Burmatex, Heuga, Modulyss, Interface and other major contract brands is genuinely competitive, and we pass that buying power directly to customers.

For larger projects, multi-site rollouts, or framework-style arrangements we offer agreed schedule-of-rates pricing so your finance and procurement teams can budget accurately. For smaller refurbishments, we provide written quotations within 48 hours of survey.

We won’t be beaten on a like-for-like written quote on contract carpet tile or LVT specifications.

Book a Site Survey

The best way to specify office flooring properly is to walk the floorplate. We offer free, no-obligation site surveys for any office in Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire or Leicestershire — typically within a week of enquiry.

Our surveyor will assess subfloor condition, take accurate measurements, photograph problem areas, and recommend specific products for each zone of the office. You’ll receive a written quotation with full product specifications and itemised installation pricing within a couple of working days.

Call our commercial team on 0115 940 4110 or email info@carpet-style.co.uk.

Out-of-Hours Installation

All flooring is fitted by our directly employed installation teams — never subcontracted. Every fitter is fully insured, NICF-qualified, and experienced in working in occupied office environments.

For active offices we routinely work evenings, weekends or public holidays to fit floors without disrupting your team. For larger fit-outs we work alongside your other trades on a phased programme. Either way, we leave the space clean, finished, and ready for furniture and final commissioning.

Once a project is complete, we provide all relevant product documentation, fire and slip certifications, and aftercare guidance for your facilities team.

Carpet tiles and why they dominate office specification

Carpet tiles account for the majority of what we install in offices, and the reasons are practical rather than aesthetic. Individual tiles can be lifted for access to underfloor services without disturbing the surrounding floor, damaged or stained tiles can be swapped out singly, and rotating tiles from low-traffic areas into worn walkways extends the life of the whole installation significantly.

Specification comes down to a few measurable things: the wear classification appropriate to the traffic level, the backing system, and whether the tile is intended for use over a raised access floor. Heavy-contract classifications are the right choice for reception areas, main circulation routes and lift lobbies, where a lighter specification will show wear patterns within a year or two. We install Burmatex ranges among others, and delivered over 300 square metres of Burmatex carpet tiles at Gunn & Moore in Nottingham.

Acoustics and open-plan environments

Flooring is one of the few large surfaces in an office that can meaningfully absorb sound, and in open-plan environments it does real work. Carpet and carpet tiles absorb airborne noise and substantially reduce impact noise from footfall, which matters both within a floorplate and for the tenant below.

Hard flooring reflects sound instead, so in mixed schemes the sensible approach is hard surfaces where cleanability and appearance lead — receptions, tea points, circulation spines — and carpet where people sit and concentrate. Where a hard floor is required in an acoustically sensitive setting, acoustic-backed LVT and dedicated acoustic underlays are available and worth specifying properly rather than assuming an underlay is an underlay.

Raised access floors and subfloor considerations

Offices frequently have raised access floor systems carrying power and data, and this constrains the flooring choice more than most specifiers expect. Panels must remain individually liftable, which effectively rules out anything bonded across panel joints — so tiles rather than sheet, and adhesive systems that release cleanly.

Loose-lay and tackifier systems hold tiles in place while allowing panel access. Rocking or uneven panels need correcting before the floor goes down, since a tile floor telegraphs subfloor movement quickly and the resulting joint gaps are both a trip risk and an appearance defect.

Working around an operating business

Most office installations happen around people still working, so the programme matters as much as the specification. We work evenings, weekends and phased zones as required, coordinate with furniture uplift and relocation, and sequence the work so that departments move once rather than twice.

Every commercial job gets site-specific RAMS, and our fitting teams are directly employed rather than subcontracted — which means the same vetted people on site through the programme, consistent standards, and a single point of accountability if anything needs putting right.

Thank you to Brad and the rest of the team at carpet style for such great service. They made me feel so comfortable as soon as I walked through the door and really took the time to give me honest advice. I had my carpet fitted yesterday and I’m so impressed with the quality and the fitting.

The fitters who came to fit the carpets were excellent. The service included the removal and disposal of old carpets and flooring. New carpets were fitted without hassle and the guys are just great! Super friendly and didn’t mind the dog trying to get in on the action.

Our house is under renovation and trouble during repairs. Ended up having to postpone the fitting several times. All the staffs have been very helpful and you can’t fault anything from the communication, customer service, the quality of the carpet nor the fitters.
