Looking for Karndean flooring in Nottingham? Carpet Style is an authorised Karndean retailer with three Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire showrooms — Netherfield, Wollaton, and Duffield — all displaying the Karndean range. We’re listed on Karndean’s own retailer finder, which means you can be confident that every floor we supply is genuine, covered by Karndean’s manufacturer warranty, and fitted to the standard the warranty requires.
We’ve been supplying and fitting flooring across the East Midlands for over 40 years. With Karndean, that experience matters — luxury vinyl tile is a substantial investment, and the difference between a good fit and a poor one shows for the lifetime of the floor.
Karndean is one of the most popular luxury vinyl tile (LVT) brands in the UK, and for good reason. It replicates the look of natural wood and stone with the kind of detail that’s genuinely hard to tell apart from the real thing — but with the practical advantages of vinyl: waterproof, scratch-resistant, warm underfoot, and quiet to walk on.
A few of the reasons it works so well in family homes and busy households:
Karndean produces several different ranges, each with its own character, price point, and ideal use case. Here’s a quick guide to the most popular residential ranges we supply and fit across our three showrooms.
Knight Tile is Karndean’s entry-level wood-and-stone effect range, designed for customers who want the Karndean look at the most accessible price. Despite being the most affordable option, it still includes Karndean’s K-Guard+® surface protection and the same fitting standards as the premium ranges. Recently fitted in a customer’s kitchen in Ivory Riven Slate (ST18) — a soft, light stone-effect tile that brightens the space.

The full Knight Tile range is available to view at all three of our showrooms, displayed across the dedicated Karndean stand:

Van Gogh is Karndean’s mid-range wood plank collection, offering longer and wider planks than Knight Tile and a more authentic timber appearance. The detailing on the wood grain is genuinely impressive — at floor level it’s very difficult to tell from real wood. Suitable throughout the home, including kitchens and bathrooms.
Art Select sits in the premium range and is where Karndean really shows what LVT can do. Hand-crafted planks and tiles with deeper embossing, richer textures, and the option of intricate parquet, herringbone, and chevron patterns. The right choice for customers who want a statement floor.

Herringbone parquet in particular is a popular Art Select install — labour-intensive to fit properly but transformative when done right. Our head LVT installer Ivan has fitted Karndean Art Select herringbone in hundreds of homes across Nottingham and Derby:

Heritage Collection is Karndean’s range of Victorian-style geometric patterns — designed for period properties, restorations, and customers who want a floor with real character. Heritage works beautifully in Nottingham and Derby’s many Victorian terraces and townhouses, recreating the look of original tiled hallways and kitchens without the maintenance challenges of original encaustic tiles.

LooseLay is Karndean’s loose-lay range — designed to be laid without adhesive, which makes it ideal for situations where you might need to access the subfloor, or where the existing floor isn’t perfectly suitable for full adhesive installation. Loose-lay also makes it easier to replace individual planks if damaged.
Korlok is Karndean’s rigid-core LVT range — a thicker, more rigid plank that floats over the subfloor with a click-together system. The rigid core is more forgiving over slightly uneven subfloors and is a good choice for renovations where the existing floor isn’t perfectly flat.
Da Vinci is Karndean’s design-tile range, focused on stone and ceramic effects rather than wood. Marble, slate, and limestone reproductions with the warmth and comfort of vinyl underfoot.
We have samples of all of these ranges available across our Netherfield, Wollaton, and Duffield showrooms. The best way to choose is to come in, see the samples in person, and feel the difference between the ranges — the photos online never quite do them justice.
Karndean is a precision product. The visual impact, longevity, and warranty validity all depend on the floor being fitted to the manufacturer’s specification. Here’s how we approach it.
Free home measurement. Once you’ve chosen a range — or narrowed it down — we’ll book a free measurement appointment. Our team will measure the room, assess the existing subfloor, identify anything that needs preparing first, and discuss any patterns or layouts you have in mind.
Honest quotation. You’ll receive a detailed quote that includes the Karndean product, all underlayment and adhesive, subfloor preparation if needed, fitting, and removal of your old flooring if required. No surprise add-ons. We’re confident on price — bring us a like-for-like quote and we’ll work hard to match or improve it.
Subfloor preparation. This is the bit that separates a long-lasting Karndean installation from one that fails. Karndean needs a smooth, dry, level subfloor — and getting that right is often where the real skill lies. Our fitters are employed (not subcontracted), so the team doing your subfloor prep is the same team standing by their work for years afterwards.
Professional installation. Karndean is installed in strict accordance with the manufacturer’s guidelines. Every join, every plank alignment, every pattern detail done correctly the first time.
After-sales support. All our work comes with after-sales support. If anything’s not right, we sort it.
